Who I Am

Rooted in a deep love for the gospel and a passion for thoughtful, engaged ministry, I serve as a pastor, teacher, and preacher of the Word, seeking to lead Christ’s church with wisdom, compassion, and integrity. My ministry is shaped by a commitment to thoughtful biblical interpretation, spiritual formation, and the redemptive power of grace. I strive to create spaces where faith can grow, questions are welcomed, and God’s presence is encountered in deep and authentic ways. In teaching and preaching, I aim to balance theological depth with pastoral sensitivity—engaging both heart and mind in ways that are meaningful and accessible to people at every stage of faith.

With experience in church leadership, preaching, and teaching, I approach ministry with a deep respect for tradition while remaining open to new expressions of faith. I cherish the rhythm of the liturgical year, the power of storytelling in the pulpit, and the way community shapes discipleship. Whether in worship, pastoral care, or theological reflection, I am committed to a church that is both rooted and responsive—grounded in the wisdom of tradition yet actively engaging the challenges and opportunities of today.

Outside of ministry, I share life with my wife Catherine, and our two children Valerie and Gibson, who keep us busy and filled with joy. We also have three cats and an overabundance of coffee mugs.
